So, right now, choosing skills at chargen is a bit overwhelming for some, and a bit too complex in general.
UPDATE!
Right now, it looks like the following:
When you choose an Origin, it has three parts. Origin now includes choosing your race.
When you choose your Archetype, you gain the following:
Next, you gain 4 Skill Ranks, that can be spent on any Skill. During this step, you also choose how to spend your Specialty Points. You have 1 Specialty Point for every Skill Rank.
At this point, choose or build your Boon. *still working on the exact rules for building your boon, and determining if it's a greater or lesser boon.
Lastly, you gain 30 Character Points, which can be spent on Traits. You can, during this step, choose up to 20 points of Disadvantages (may rename this to Complications)
Remember that your Archetype Traits have a 5 point discount during character creation. *This may change very soon, but that is another thread.
Overall, this means fewer individual choices, and also brings down the power level and complexity of level 1 characters.
