Which ones to choose?
A couple Archetypes I've been thinking about in terms of this are Warlock, Thief, Hunter, Marksman (Gunslinger? Should I just go back to that being it's own archetype?), and Assassin. And Alchemist.
Remember that Inherent Skills, in theory, shouldn't be direct attack skills, nor should they be any skill that is a "everyone will probably want this skill", if it can be avoided. Marksman has perception, but I don't see a way around that, frankly. Also, obv Marksman or Gunslinger gets Quick Draw as it's Inherent Trait, right?
Warlock: In QfC, there is thematic overlap between Warlocks and Alchemists, in the history of the setting, many Alchemists have also been Warlocks, and vise versa. The QfC Warlock also assumes the Old Norse etypmological theory of "warlock", that being a word which means "caller of spirits", rather than the Old English "oathbreaker", or necessarily the Romantic "male witch"/practitioner of evil magic.
Warlocks do delve into that which is forbidden, however.
So, all that said, one of their Inherent Skills is Shamanism. I'm fine with that. The other has been Hex (formerly known as Hexcraft), which is less of a good idea, because it is, in part, a direct attack skill. Binding and Summoning are just as strong as attack skills, as well. Frankly Hex is a strong skill. But what else should it be? Alchemy? Enchantment? Linguistics?
