Rule 1. No hijacking. You control your character, and you can control NPCs (non player characters), but NEVER the character of another player, unless they explicitly allow it.
Rule 2. No "takesies backsies" or "nuh-uhs". If an action is described in a post, it happened. The end. You can react to it, but you can't retro-actively change it.
Rule 3. No hijacking, "the sequel". When you describe an event, you cannot determine how other player's characters react to it, unless the reaction is unavoidably obvious. Examples: "A grenade comes through the window, and everyone jumps for cover" is fine. It's unavoidably obvious, and it allows someone else to potentially pull a "except Thom, who...dies a horrible death" or whatever. On the other hand, "Sheryl reveals her true nature, and Henry's face goes pale, and he runs away in terror." Is unacceptable. Henry's player decides how Henry reacts, not Sheryl's player.
Rule 4. No time travel or reliable ability to see the future. It's just disruptive and annoying. Exceptions are possible, but should be discussed with everyone involved in the thread.
